5th Day IT : 9th April 2010

1. This is the last day of the first week of my industrial training.

2. I clocked in at 8.16 am.

3. The early morning was as usual, tidying up the workplace a bit and settling in.

4. Then, I reviewed for the last time my completed report and the documents that I’m supposed to understand.

5. Mr Affendi told Nazmie, another intern, and me that we are going to follow him to the site today.

6. The above mentioned site is the Senawang Halt and it is still under 40 % completed construction.

7. We went there by a 4 WD drive and there are six people going including Mr Affendi, Nazmie and me.

8. We reached there at 11 am and Mr Affendi briefed us about what is happening on the site. He also gave us a clearer view about the architectural drawing and the real structure.

9. It is very important for everybody to take care for themselves at the site.

10. To avoid anything bad happen, some safety rules must be followed in order to minimize the risk of getting hurt or even worse fatality.

11. On the site, I learnt one new thing that at every 4 layers of bricks, a long wire is circled around the bricks to make them sturdier.

12. We continued to be at the site until 3.50 pm and have a look around while trying to analyze the surroundings.

13. We reached the office at 4.30 pm.

14. After catching a few breaths, Mr Affendi informed me that he wants to discuss about the drawing review I’ve made.

15. So, we went into the meeting room along with Miss Suhaila, Miss Aini and Nazmie to discuss about the drawing.

16. The discussion took about one hour with Mr Affendi and Miss Suhaila giving me inputs about my work and taking notes of it.

17. I asked them what was needed to be done in order to improve my work and I duly noted them.

18. I then checked out at about 5.47 pm.

19. Another day bites the dust…
